Martin Luther King Day program at Museum

The Historical Society of Hopkins County is set to begin a new tradition
Monday,  January 20th as the Museum will be
OPEN 11 am until 3 pm with a Hopkins County look at Martin Luther King.

Celebrating it’s 40th Anniversary, the Society typically follows the
local government holiday schedule and is closed on Martin Luther King Day,

but with a newly remodeled museum having been completed in December, the Society has decided to be open to the school kids
who are out of school on Monday with the special open hours for the Museum as a chance for the youth
and all of Hopkins County a chance to visit and tour the museum.

A special display added will highlight the life and impact Martin Luther King had from a Hopkins County viewpoint.

Being hosted by Historical Society member Margie Bowman, the open house event is the first of several
special 40th Anniversary events scheduled for the Society this 2014 year.
