Growing up in Madisonville in the 50s-

Another great night of memories- dating at least 20 men before you pic one to marry, details from a young lady’s diary, life long friendships, a purloined pie, Senior Sneak day…. if you missed it you missed it- no recording due to select shared events that parents may not have known about. Yes tellers were in their 70’s but we have several members over 90 who regularly attend

Panelists who were born in 1920s, 30s and 40s shared stories about horseshoes, dances at the city patk club house, early homemade ziplines, paper routes, and even a spanking or two at school.

Judy Adkins leads Women’s History month with latest booklet of Hopkins County women history makers.

Meeting is at 6:30 pm in Fiscal Court Room of Goverment Center (Old Post Office), corner of Arch and N Main–enter from north side

Ribbon Cutting at 12 Noon for new meeting room on 3rd floor of Historic Courthouse.

6:30 pm Meeting and program featuring Ben Chandler speaking on The Life and Times of Happy Chandler.

Meeting room is wheelchair accessible. Night entrance through East Entryway under old jail. Take elevator or stairs to 3rd floor and meeting room is on northwest corner nearest Center Street.
